- Gunsmith (1959-Present)
- Lead Mechanical Technician at G.M. Defense Research Labs (1962-1965)
- Repair gunsmithing instructor at Lassen College (1972-Present)
  - Currently revamping Lassen College gunsmithing program into one week intensive courses similar to the NRA schools
- Lead gunsmith and owner of PISCO (1973-Present)
- NRA schools instructor during the summer months (1986-Present)
- Expert Witness work in firearm function and malfunction - about 100 cases to date (1970-Present)
  - Usually accidental discharges, blow ups, and homicides
- Trained for repair at the following factories: Anschutz, Browning, Charter, Colt, Crosman, Diana, FM, Remington, Rottweill, RWS, Smith and Wesson, Thompson/Center, and Winchester

- Designer of improvements currently used in several firearms being manufactured by various American Arms manufacturers
- Holder of a patent for a sabot for increasing bullet velocity with little loss of accuracy
